Nearly two decades ago, hiring managers and recruiting teams at luxury jeweler, Borsheims, a Berkshire Hathaway company, struggled to deliver an engaging candidate experience and hire strong salespeople with paper-based systems. Borsheims sought an assessment and talent acquisition partner to support them in reaching key business results, like sales, while also reducing time-to-hire.

To tackle this challenge, Corvirtus built a hiring process and assessments that attract and select people who live the company's values, perform, and stay long-term. Initially assessments were included for sales positions only, but after notable gains in sales and retention assessments Borsheims added tailored batteries for all positions.

Today their hiring process includes custom applications, realistic job previews to attract and educate candidates, and testing for problem-solving, heart for service, and teamwork, among other key job-specific competencies.
