Jennifer Yugo, PhD, SPHR, Managing Director and Owner

Jennifer’s calling is building remarkable places to work and do business.

Each day she lives her passion of aligning Corvirtus science-driven frameworks to build sound, evidence-based tools that foster performance, engagement, and retention.

She’s intensely focused on delighting our clients with practical and powerful solutions that strengthen business results. Her leadership keeps Corvirtus on the forefront of employee retention and growth, hiring and culture-building products.

Jennifer stays in front of the latest empirical research and developments in the fields of Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Psychometrics – and contributes to these fields whether it’s through DisruptHR, presenting at conferences, or writing.

Prior to Corvirtus, Jennifer conducted management research and taught MBA and undergraduate students as a business school professor. She studies and writes about Engagement, Culture, Hiring Practices, and Healthcare. Her Senior Professional in Human Resources certificate indicates her interest in strategic aspects of talent management.

Jennifer earned her PhD at Bowling Green State University’s nationally ranked Industrial-Organizational Psychology program. Prior to graduate school she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Highest Honors from Purdue University.

She has coached and consulted with organizations on Performance Management Systems, Large Scale Surveys, Patient Care, and Focus Group Research.

For enjoyment, Jennifer keeps improving on her marathon time, how long she can hold a plank, and other challenges she sets for herself.  She gains great meaning from contributing to the success of nonprofits, serving on the Board of Directors of Sunny Vista Living, a rehabilitation and long-term care facility in Colorado Springs, and also CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Pikes Peak Region.  In addition she is an active court appointed special advocate, and also contributes to Hire Heroes, a non-profit organization that helps veterans transition to the civilian workforce.
